The Makita built Reciprocating Saw model number BJR182 has a D35 high torque motor that delivers 50% faster cutting than most of it’s competition, cutting with a 1-1/8″ stroke that cuts 2900 SPM. This saw can be bought separately or as in the combo kit LXT 702. The design of the tool is very compact with the length coming in at 17-3/4″ and the weight being 8.1 lbs. This combination of compactness and light weight provides the perfect tool to combat fatigue during a long demo job. The design provides one-handed, fast tool-less blade changes and shoe adjustments. The saw also has two-piece armature and field along with externally accessible brushes for serviceability and longer motor life.

Craftsman announced that the new 12 amp orbital action professional reciprocating saw with vibrafree™ Vibration Reduction System is now available. The vibrafree™ Craftsman Professional 26043 reciprocating saw has 56.7% less vibration than the Craftsman Professional 25290 reciprocating saw.
This saw is designed so that the reciprocating rod and the counter balance sleeve always move in opposite directions of each other, thereby reducing the saw’s vibration. This Active Vibration Canceling Technology makes this reciprocating saw more comfortable and easy to use, taking the vibration out of the saw and putting the energy to work sawing and removing materials.
If anyone has had experience with this new saw, we would love to hear about it in our forum under Power Tool Review.
This Craftsman reciprocating saw has a 12 amp orbital action system. The blade and shoe are both toolless and the shoe has a four position set. The blade stroke is set at 1-1/4″ with a 0-3,000 spm. The cord lenght is 10 ft. This system comes in a case with 3 assorted blades.
