Bosch Metal Shear

Bosch introduced its new 12V Max Lithium Ion metal shear.  This cordless shear cuts up to 18 gauge metal.  Bosch claims this is 3-4 times lighter than competition and 50-60% less cost.  We haven’t had our hands on this shear yet, but from what we have heard this delivers great accuracy, which, as you know can be very important.  This shear only weights 3 lbs. and that is just one reason a user has more accuracy with this power tool.  Another reason is the length is 10″ long.  This shear is capable of cutting a 1/2″ diameter hole and being very accurate.  The cutter is adjustable, so a user can cut straight and curved cuts with no problems. 

One nice feature is the top mounted switch which can reduce fatigue for the user.  Being a Bosch product, we are pretty certain this will be a winner as Bosch makes some of the best professional tools on the market.
