Hitachi’s high powered HXP li-ion battery technology boasts it has reinvented the way the power tool world uses cordless power tools. It has three times longer run time, fade free power and almost half the weight of normal batteries. In fact, the HXP Li-ion Battery offers up to 40% less weight than standard Ni-Cd/Ni-Mh batteries.
The Hitachi Hxp Li-ion produces consistent power with no RPM slowdown, unlike traditional Ni-Mh/Ni-Cd and other competitive Li-ion batteries. Hitachi’s circuit technology in the HXP and universal charger prevents the battery from losing full power when in use and overheating when charging, ensuring a full charge each time.
They have a neat interchangeable HXP battery platform. HXP Li-ion batteries are exclusively designed to fit Hitachi’s line of DMR 14.4/18 volt cordless power tools, but also allowing users to upgrade their existing Hitachi 14.4/18 volt cordless with HXP Li-ion battery technology.
The HXP batteries are equipped with a current interruption detection system, thermal protector and an electronic switch to protect the battery against overcharge and discharge. HXP batteries have a low power dicharge while in storage, assuring that your tools will always be ready when you are! This battery package definitely carries a “powerful punch”
Hitachi Hammer Drill Review – DV 18DL

This review is for the Hitachi Hammer Drill that came in the kit KC18DCL that we bought from tylertool.com. The model number for this drill is DV18DL. This drill packs a lot of power and produces 570lbs of torque. Compare that with the Milwaukee V28 that produces 600lbs of toque, and the Hitachi is only an 18V. While most hammer drills have two speed settings, the Hitachi has 4 settings. The four settings are 0-200/400/900/1800 rpm, so as a user you do have lots of control. One feature we really like is the unique access to the carbon brushes. On the back of the drill you have easy access to change the brushes once they get worn out.

We recieved this lastest news from tylertool.com that Hitachi introduced three new Gas Nailers. The three new nailers are the finishing NT65GS 16 gauge straight nailer, NT65GB angle nailer and the NT65GA angle nailer. These three nailers use gas and the Lithium Ion batteries to power each pull of the trigger. Since they are battery and gas, you don’t have the pneumatic bulky cords.
The Hitachi nailer can hold up to 2-1/2″ fasteners and have the capacity to hold up to 100 per mag. With their double action reciprocating piston system, they can fire two nails per second. The Hitachi nailers use the Dry Fire Lockout which prevents activation when the nails come to an end. This is a great feature as it lets the user know when to replace the mag., prevents damage to work and prolongs the life of the tool and cartridge. Hitachi also has a detachable no-mar nose which helps protect your work also.
The Hitachi nail guns us a .6 oz fuel rod which give about 1,200 shots. These nailers use a 3.6 V Lithium Ion battery which can be charged in about an hour.
These kits come with the nailer, 2 -3.6v Lithium batteries, ac charger with automotive adapter, carrying case, saftey glasses, no-mar tip and hex bar wrenches. The fuel rods are sold speratly. The Hitachi nailer fuel rods product number is – 728981
