Hilti laser tools equipped with Pulse Power emit up to one million laser pulses in a single second. What does this mean in terms of technology? Quite simply, laser tools with Hilti’s Pulse Power deliver extremely accurate and reliable readings, even under the most difficult conditions.
Featuring Hilti Pulse Power, a unique range of laser measuring tools now redefines the benchmark for performance and reliability. Here are a few examples of products featuring Hilti’s Pulse Power:
Rotating Lasers: Catch the beam in one pass
On a bright, sunny day, the task of transferring reference heights over moderate distances can often become a tedious process due to difficulty in locating the rotating laser beam. Not with Hilti Pulse Power! Thanks to the high-frequency pulses of the laser beam, a single pass of the rotating laser beam over the receiver is all that is needed for immediate location of the line.
Range Meters: Top measuring performance
With Hilti Pulse Power, accurate, reliable readings can now be taken even under the most unfavorable conditions such as in bright sunlight. Hilti Pulse Power makes trouble-free measurements of distances up to 100 meters possible without need for a target plate – achieved efficiently with only one person.
Line and Combi lasers: Visibility without compromise
These laser measuring tools feature outstanding visibility of the lines they project, whether working with or without a receiver. In interior finishing, Hilti Pulse Power effectively avoids the nuisance of having to return to the tool to change operating modes and realign when working under frequently changing light conditions.

Hilti PD 4 Laser

Hilti introduced their new measuring system, the PD 4. Over the years we have used a variety of Hilti’s lasers and we have to say they are very easy to use, durable and work great. We haven’t had a chance to get our hands on this laser system, but we can only imagine that it would be just as well built as the other measuring systems Hilti has to offer.
The new PD 4 is 100% waterproof and dust tight. This device takes reading from 7.8″ to 230′. We are not sure what the accuracy is for these measurements, so if anyone has an idea, please let us know. This has a single button operation to control the laser. The laser comes in a soft pouch and runs on two AA batteries.
Again we haven’t tested this system, but looking at the picture, it looks like Hilti put a nice rubber protective sleeve around the laser to help minimize the damage from drops.
Hilti PR 26 Green Laser

Hilti introduced a new green laser, the Pr 26. No, it’s not green because it is eco friendly, but it actually uses a green laser instead of the traditional red laser. Hilti states this new green laser improves visibility indoors compared to a red laser. Now we haven’t tested this laser yet, but supposedly this green laser is four times more visible to the human eye than other class three lasers.
As with most lasers of this caliber, it can be used for a variety of different applications such as suspended ceilings, drywall track, leveling framework and more. This has a range of up to 650 feet with the laser receiver.
This laser comes with a rechargeable battery pack and charger that will let this unit work 22 hours of continuous work. As with most lasers in this class it provides a shock warning system in case the laser gets bumped. The head of the laser is protected in a housing that also provides protection from water spray and dust. This is rated for use between -4 degrees and 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
See more information about the Hilti Laser PR 26. You can also see an online demo of this laser in more detail.
