Buying a power tool is a big step for a couple of reasons.  First, power tools are expensive.  Second, they can be dangerous.  Before you buy, make sure you read power tool reviews.  There are a lot of power tool review websites.  Actually, we are in the process of creating our own due to the fact that we have been emailed numerous times for this type of information.

There are a couple of items to remember when reading power tool reviews.  First, most people tend to take the time to write a review when they are unhappy or feel they were ripped off.  Second, there are always whack jobs out there who think their tool should have made them a cup of coffee while they were working.  Well, that is an exaggeration, but I have seen numerous times where someone was complaining about their tool when in fact they were not using the right blade or it was the wrong tool for their project. So take everything with a grain of salt.  The point is when reading power tool reviews, take time and think about what that person is saying.  Does it make sense?  Does this person know what they are talking about? Lastly, consider the source of the review and its references.

Power tool reviews can be very useful if used in the right way, so they are a great starting point.  Nothing beats actually speaking with a qualified tool professional about  tools when questions need to be answered.

If you have a question about power tool reviews, you can also look at our forum and ask a question to get user feedback.

We have been doing reviews for certain companies and users who have requested reviews for the past four years.  We are in the process of putting the reviews up on our website.  If you have a specific tool request, please let us know and if we have the power tool review, we will email it to you.
