Currently, Ridgid only makes a couple different Jig Saws, but they only have one that is found in most home centers. If you are looking for an inexpensive Jig Saw, Ridgid is the way to go. Ridgid Jig Saws have all the options of the big boys, but the cost is less.
After using the Ridgid Jig Saw, I thought it was a nice saw, it felt nice and was easy to use. However, my heart still lies with the Bosch. It has better balance and didn’t pull as much. Also, the Bosch was much better when it came to vibrations. I am not saying the Ridgid has a lot of vibrations, because it doesn’t. It just seems like the Bosch dissipated the vibrations more before they got to my hand.

Ridgid Jig Saws – They only have one main Jig Saw in the stores. The current Jig Saw has 6 Amps, which is more than enough power for most applications. The stroke length is 1″. It also has an orbital setting which is very nice. Lastly, the Ridgid Jig Saw has adjustable speeds which is a must, 500 – 3000 spm.
