Once again Europe gets all the cool tools before us.

Published on December 21, 2012 by in Tools

Lately I have really been wanting a cordless framing nailer that does not use gas.  The ToolGuyd told us about this nailer last month and the boys across the pond Tool Stop have uploaded this video to make all us yanks drool!

Some cool things you might like:

Now I’m confused. This thing says 18V. I notice tool is brushless and the battery is 4.0 ah. Is it not a 20V Max?

That is one of the best dewalt video’s I’ve seen.

I really want it. It looks like it handles different types of nails. Ready for an upgrade from my 18v monster from over 5 years ago

In Europe they call the 20V a 18V XR. Weird, I know

Oh, I knew it was XR instead of MAX but I thought it was still 20V.

Very nice, I’m sure it’s a well made tool.

Maybe contact Dewalt to get one of those for the give-away? ;)

You guys would probably keep that tool(Hell, I’m surprised you guys haven’t kept some of those tools in your give-away for yourself, they sure are nice!)

    Thanks guys!

Australian here. DeWalt is 18v XR Li-Ion here, as well as 10.8v, which I assume are the 20v max and 12v max equivalents in the USA. However there also appears to be a range of 14.4v XR tools in Aus as well. I’m impressed with DeWalt, this framing nailer looks good.

Yeah thats what I’m talking about. Ive also been thinking about brushless tech lately and it would be great if someone makes other types of tools brushless as well. Tools that draw a lot of power and run out quick such as cordless circular saws and cordless multitools. It would be awesome if those were made brushless. For example imagine a brushless 18/20v 7-1/4″ circular saw with near corded performance or a traditional 18/20v 6-1/2″ brushless circular saw with double the run time or even better yet a brushless 18/20v 7-1/4 circular saw with near corded performance AND double the run time. I’m looking at you dewalt.

I would want a few answers before buying a brut nailer.
How much PSI force does it operate on and how long does a charge last for. Better jet how many nails on average does it last for.
Mind you if it was a gift I would find out for my self, but as a comsumer I would like to see the white papers thanks
