M18™ Six Pack Sequential Charger – News

Published on December 13, 2012 by in News

Milwaukee has just released the human centipede of chargers, it charges six M18 batteries sequentially. That means it charges them one at a time.   Compact batteries take 30 min while XC batteries take 60 min.  For crews on a job site that use M18 batteries this would be a good charger to have.  It can be hung on a wall and has a pass through outlet plug so it does not take up valuable AC outlets.  Look for it in January 2013.milwaukee 6 charger 300x245 M18™ Six Pack Sequential Charger News

Every gang box on the job should have one of these!

This thing rocks. Now if only Dewalt made one to keep my other batteries happy. As always thanks for sharing everything that’s new

They did the same thing with the their Ryobi P125 6 bank charger. Not a big fan of sequential charging. It free’s up a little bit of time not having to watch your batteries, but I like to have 2 or more batteries charging at the same time when I start a big project.

If it charged them all at once that would rock!

concept is cool but not quite there..

pointless, only charges one at a time

That is unbelievable! One at a time charge is okay because I doubt I would run all of those dead.

  8. Andy

About time they come out with one that charges more!

It’s cool but it should charge all of them. Like that you basically just have a regular charger. Good idea just need to change it a bit.

kinda pointless if it doesn’t recharge all at once.

This is amazing. It doesn’t really matter that it charges sequentially. I always start a job with charged batteries.

Dan–I read this, then pondered that it works only if everyone at a jobsite has Milwaukee tools (and batteries, of course). The batteries also have to be of the M18 variety, so if your battery is a different type…Then, I noticed it charges one battery at a time, sequentially, so that it leaves the other five unusable. If yours was the sixth battery placed in the charger, you’ve got a long wait before yours will be ready. There would be a great temptation to come back in a while and just take the battery that was finished charging, causing fights and arguments among the crew. Also, how is a six-gang charger that only charges one battery at a time better than, say, DeWalt’s dual charger that will charge two batteries at once? Are there demonstrably more guys using Milwaukee tools than DeWalt? I just have a feeling that it won’t pan out.

good points, Milwaukee us pretty popular in the trades, plumbers and electricians especially. I suppose it would be a good idea to start with all six charged then replace as necessary.
