Milwaukee Circular Saw 10-1/4″ Model 6470-21

milwaukee circular saw Milwaukee Circular Saw 10 1/4 Model 6470 21

Milwaukee is introducing their new circular saw, a 10 1/4″ saw.  There are not too many companies that make this big of a saw, at least for a circular saw.  The model number on this saw is 6470-21 and it is replacing Milwaukee’s older 10 1/4″ saw.   This saw is great for cutting thicker lumber where portability is an issue.  You can cut things like rafters and trusses to name just a few items.

This new saw is 1.5 lbs. lighter than their previous version.  Milwaukee also added a large bale handle with a cushion grip.  This gives the user a lot more control and as you know, that is very important when dealing with these larger saws.  This bad boy has a 15 amp motor with a no load rpm of 5,200.

The cutting capacity is 3-3/4″ at 90°, 2-3/4″ at 40° and 1-3/4″ at 60°.  The saw seems pretty light only weighing 18.8 lbs.  Yes that is very heavy compared to other smaller saws, but remember this is a 10-1/4″ saw.

If anyone has had any experience with this saw, we would like to hear your thoughts.

I saw your comments on the Milwaukee 6470-21 and do appreciate them. I don’t have any experience with this saw so I can’t add a comment on it, but it seems as though it is a well built saw.

I have had my website up and running only a couple of months now I have added a link to this page on my website, on the product page. Would you consider linking back to my website on your website?

    Thank You
