Milwaukee is really expanding their M12 line of power tools. They added another tool, the clamp gun clamp meter. We haven’t seen this in action yet, but we know some of the electricians and HVAC guys will like this. While most clamp systems use a traditional alkaline battery for power, the Milwaukee uses the M12 Lithium Ion battery.
Milwaukee has two models out, the 2238-21 and the 2239-21. The biggest difference from the two is the 2239-21 has a high amp range of 1000, while the 22381-21 has a high amp range of 600.
Again we haven’t even seen any pictures yet, so not sure how easy it is to read the display. According to Milwaukee it uses a large high contrast white on black display and extra bright LED flood lights. As with most clamp meters this uses a pistol grip. The Jaw size is 1.57″, which seems to be above average jaw size for this size meter.
