Campbell Hausfeld Launches Three New Air Nailers
Innovative Features Make It Easier to Get Pro Results!
Harrison, OH, May 13, 2009 – The pneumatic nailer is the most versatile and effective tool for driving nails quickly and accurately. Campbell Hausfeld (CH), a leading manufacturer and marketer of air powered tools and compressors, has introduced a comprehensive line of air powered nailers with features designed to make the tool easier to operate, easier to control and easier to handle while achieving professional quality results.
“So far, the air powered nailer category has catered exclusively to professionals and the most skilled do-it-yourselfers,” said Chuck Shoemaker, director of new product development for Campbell Hausfeld. “After extensive consumer research, we set out to totally redesign the tools so they make it just as easy to get professional results for the first-time user as they do for the professional. These new nailers have numerous innovative features that do just that.”
Easy to Operate Features:
- Low nail indicator – Nothing slows users down faster than not knowing they are out of fasteners. Problem solved. The magazine has a window to see how many fasteners are loaded, but Campbell Hausfeld also has incorporated a “reload alert.” Less than 10 nails triggers a yellow gauge light and less than five produces a red light.
- Anti-dry fire –The anti-dry fire mechanism lets users know where the last driven nail is located and prevents damage to the work piece.
- Oil-free – Users can forget about lubricating the new CH tools and head straight to work. Easy maintenance and fewer messes to clean up.
- Quick clear latch – Nailers are engineered to reduce jams, but they still occur sometimes. A tool-free design makes it faster and easier to clear the jam.
Easy to Control Features
- Built-in Stud finder – Now users can save a step when installing chair rail or molding. No need for an extra stud finder since its built-in when using the new CH finish nailer. A red light and beep lets users know when a stud is located. (Only available on 15-gauge finish nailer)
- Laser placement – When precision is needed, it’s not enough to estimate where the fastener will be placed. The built-in laser is activated when the safety element is in contact with the surface providing the exact location for the fastener.
- Bubble level – Used either horizontally or vertically, aligning the bubble level will eliminate blow-out and increase fastening strength and stability.
Easier to Handle Features:
- In-line magazine – The new redesign places the magazine in-line with the handle to reduce the bulk of the nailers.
- Tethered tip – A no-mar tip helps prevent damage to the wood’s surface. It’s also one of the first things lost. Not anymore. CH has tethered the tip to the magazine so users can always use it when needed.
- Storage bag – Made from heavy-duty fabric, the bag is more convenient and practical for storage than traditional plastic cases.
- Rear exhaust – Exhaust is vented down the handle so users don’t have air blown in their faces. (Only available on brad nailer)
FRAMING Nailer (Model CHN70899)
Ideal for 2 x 4 construction, framing, sheathing and deck building, the new 3-1/2” 34 degree clipped head nailer holds 2” to 3-1/2” nails from .113 – .131 in. diameter.
FINISH Nailer (Model CHN70699)
The most versatile group of nailers that tackle such tasks as, crown molding, window casing, door jambs, baseboard molding, paneling, and cabinetry. CH offers a 15-gauge 35 degree angled nailer that accommodates 1” to 2-1/2” nails
BRAD Nailer (Model CHN70299)
The brad nailer eliminates the need for pre-drilling, which can cause wood to split in such light-duty work that includes, woodworking, crafts and decorative trim work. CH’s new 18-gauge straight nailer uses 5/8” to 2” nails. Each nailer features a tool-less adjustable depth-of-drive.
