i wanted to email the makita company but couldnt find an email address for them.what i wanted to say.my husband turned 50 this year and a didnt know what to get him for this special birthday..he told me he wanted a new makita skill saw and sander.the makita saw he did have was 20 years lod and had a warp in it because he had dropped it twice off of a roof he had been fixing .he told me he wanted a new makita saw.to replace it after so many years for use .he told me he new that the saw might be more expensive but he thought so much of his old saw that he had and worked so well for so long he knew the next one he got would be just as good .so thats what i bought him .he still has that old saw ,it still works good .just thought id send a comment to you on such a great product thanks

They will last the same amount of time. We are in MN and it gets pretty cold here. Our batteries last a long time.

Do the lithium Ion batteries last as long in cold weather as in hot weather if you are using the saw for the same amount of time?
